The last remnant of Vancouver's anti-Olympic movement began to be dismantled Monday as activists closed their tent city in the Downtown Eastside.

OLYMPIC TENT VILLAGE NEEDS YOUR ONGOING SUPPORT!

Since Feb 15, 2010 the Olympic Tent Village has been set up at 58 West Hastings, an empty lot owned by notorious condo developer Concord Pacific, currently being leased by VANOC as a parking lot for the Olympics.

On Feb. 15, several hundred protesters rallied at Pigeon Park in the Downtown Eastside of Vancouver before marching to a nearby empty lot. Once there, they set up tents and tarps. The tent village will be ongoing and is located at 58 West Hastings. Bring sleeping bags, tents, food, tarps, and people!
